Safari Portal adds calendar feature to itinerary platform

Itinerary platform Safari Portal has released a new version of its platform, Safari Portal 2.0, that includes a new calendar-based interface.

The new iteration of the platform enables advisors to create more detailed itineraries to accommodate its growing ranks of advisors who don’t specialize in safaris, founder and CEO Rachel West said.

Despite its name, Safari Portal is not just an itinerary-builder for safaris, though that was its initial purpose. In fact, West said, about 50% of the advisors using the platform are not Africa specialists. The platform houses thousands of property and destination descriptions for advisors to use, and they can also customize their own entries.

“Safari Portal 2.0 is easier and more flexible to use than ever before, helping travel agents and professionals quickly create comprehensive, visually inspiring travel plans,” West said in a release.

Classic Safari Portal, the interface advisors have used since Safari Portal’s 2021 founding, is still available.

Pricing starts at $199 per month.
